PoliPro, Inc. ("PoliPro," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the PoliPro app (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information We Collect
Account information you provide: your name, email address, and optional profile photo.
Political and opinion data you generate in the app: your quiz answers, debate reflections, optional written notes, and the bias, political-compass, and multi-axis profiles we calculate from them. Because this reflects your political views, we treat it as sensitive information and use it only to power your personal profile inside the app.
Usage data: how you interact with debates and features (for example, which debates you open or engage with), plus basic device and log information.
Push notification tokens, if you choose to enable notifications.
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Build and display your personal bias and political-profile features
- Send account-related and, if enabled, reminder notifications
- Understand aggregate usage to improve PoliPro
- Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse
Your Political Information
Your political answers and the profiles derived from them are shown to you inside the app. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with advertisers or use it for advertising. We do not share data that ties your identity to your political views with third parties except as needed to operate the Service or as required by law.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted providers that process limited data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — push notifications and basic app diagnostics/analytics
- Mailgun — sending account and verification emails
- Cloud hosting for our servers and database
These providers are permitted to use the data only to provide their services to us.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of our users, or in connection with a business transfer.
Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law.
Your Choices and Rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app.
- Edit your information: update your name, email, and photo under Settings → Edit profile.
- Notifications: turn push notifications on or off under Settings.
- Requests: you may also email us to access, correct, or delete your data.
Children's Privacy
PoliPro is intended for users 17 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Users
PoliPro is operated in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
